On February 10, 2016 Director of National Bureau of Expertises (NBE) Artashes Javadyan received the delegation  of US Department of State - James A. Walsh, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State at the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, Janelle Kuroda, Foreign Affairs Officer, Office of Europe and Asia, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, U.S. Department of State, and Jack Anderson, Head of Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of U.S. Embassy in Armenia.

Welcoming the guests, Artashes Javadyan highlighted the importance of the international cooperation in Armenia and especially mentioned the joint work implemented within the frame of INL program in the National Bureau of Expertises in the last 10 years and as a result it was possible to introduce relevant western standards and approaches in expert activates. Director A.Javadyan noted that the Bureau was the leading organization in the Republic of Armenia with necessary scientific and practical potential and  resources which successfully implemented scientific-research, scientific-practical, educational and analytical work in the field of forensic expertises. In the course of the visit, accompanied by NBE Director Expertises Artashes Javadyan, the members of the delegation toured in the buildings and structures of NBE, visited different departments focusing on the technical equipment, methods and technologies implemented in these departments in conducting expertises.

During the visit it was noted that our organization had been participating in such webinars /online seminars/ since January 2014 up to present.

Further the management of the National Bureau of Expertises and the members of the US delegation discussed in detail the possible directions of further productive cooperation of the Bureau on the fight against drugs and cooperation with law enforcement authorities (INL) and the National Bureau of Expertises, in particular, the parties  discussed a number of topics of scientific and practical orientation in the field of criminology, forensic expertise and applied problems in criminology.

At the end of the meeting James Walsh expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome extended to them and highly appreciated the essential achievements of the National Bureau of Expertises in the last 10 years.
