The representative of National Bureau of Expertises took part in the scientific workshop held in Prague

On May 20-24 the head of physical technical examinations and chemical expertises department K.Gharajyan took part in the NATO’s scientific workshop held at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, the Czech Republic.

The purpose of the visit was to cooperate in the joint project NATO multi-year Science for Peace Project. EAP. SFPP 98459 ‘’Solid state gas sensors against security and military threats’’, which is carried out in 2014-2016.

During the workshop speeches were made by the professor of the same institute, project coordinator of NATO (Project Director) Martin Vrnata, other members of the University and representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic, project participant Professor, NAS RA Academician, Faculty of Radiophysics Vladimir Harutyunyan, and head of physical technical examinations and chemical expertises department K.Gharajyan.

In addition to the progress made during the year within the program, in his report K.Garadzhyan also presented other functions of NBE, noting the enormous scientific potential of participation in such projects.

In particular, was discussed as well the possibility of establishing further direct scientific and practical contacts between NBE and the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, the Czech Republic. There were also other discussions connected with scientific researches to be carried out within the project, as well as optimal conditions for the acquisition and further use of the necessary equipment and devices, etc.

In the next stage of the workshop was organized a visit to the laboratory of the University of Chemistry and Technology, were presented the installed devices and equipment, the latest technology and so on.
