Experts took part in a conference held in Armenia

A scientific conference on the topic "Application of contemporary scientific methods and technology in the field of expertise" dedicated to the 10th anniversary of National Bureau of Expertises was held in Tsakhkadzor. The opening of the conference took place in the National Bureau of Expertises. It was attended by high-ranking representatives and officers, namely from RA Investigative Committee, RA Ministry of Health, Yerevan Municipality, RA Police, Embassies, Prosecutor's office, the National Academy of Sciences of RA, deputies from RA National Assembly, distinguished scientists, participants from more than 40 organizations and universities and also journalists. Moreover, in order to participate in the conference heads and specialists of the leading expertise centers and institutions from Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Moldova and other countries arrived in Armenia.

The conference was then ‘’moved’’ to Tsakhkadzor, where in the framework of active program via plenary and sectional sessions were presented 45 reports of scientists from both Armenia and foreign countries. According to the director of the National Bureau of Expertises Artashes Javadyan, the colleagues from different countries had the opportunity to exchange their best practice, establish direct contacts. Svetlana Smirnova, Director of Russian Federal Center of Forensic Science of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, was impressed by the high level of Armenian experts and expressed her gratitude to the organizers noting that such events should be carried out as often as possible. Alexander Ruvin, Director of the Kiev Research Institute of judicial examination of the Ministry of Justice, highlighted the fact that the experts did the same work and that they were colleagues, not competitors. Mr.Ruvin expressed his readiness to cooperate and to share achievements. The organizers under the leadership and with the direct participation of Artashes Javadyan, conducted tremendous work. There were organized interesting recreation programs for the guests, including tours to sightseeing places in Armenia. In the result was published the collection of materials of the conference, consisting of 79 scientific articles. The National Bureau of Expertises was established in 2005 and since its establishment up to now it has being headed by Artashes Javadyan.
