Participation in the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFS) Working Group Project

In 2014 within the framework of the ENFSI Working Group ‘’Firearms/GRS’’ and the financial support of European Union (Project Home /2011/ASEC/AG/2489) collaborative study on Shot Range Estimation was performed.

This collaborative study was attended by laboratories from 44 different countries, 39 European laboratories from 21 different countries including 13 laboratories from Germany and 4 laboratories from the United States, Australia and Israel.

The basic objective of the project was to study and collect database on Statistical analysis of shooting distances.

The results presented by our organization   met the required standards which were basis to be included in the final analytical report.

Moreover, taking into account the active participation and fairness of the data, the Firearm Expertises Department of our organization was awarded a certificate of attendance in the collaborative study on Shot Range Estimation.
