Born in 1947.

Education: Yerevan State University, Faculty of Chemistry.

Specialization: Chemist, Candidate of Chemistry, Assistant Professor; member of the Academy of Military Medicine.

Work experience as an expert: since 1999.

Author of 52 scientific articles, 3 authority rights, 12 scientific and educational methodological works.

General aim of Materiological Expertises Department is to enforce, use and develop such methods which will shorten the examination period and correspond to international standards.

Besides expertises the department also carries out scientific activities, including realization of methodological, research, practical, experimental, analytical, educational and other scientific activities. Within 3 years the department has published 15 scientific articles, 2 scientific methodological works.

The department carries out expertises in the following directions:

• Examiantion of paints of figurative art works (oil paints, tempera, pigment composition) that gives an idea of when the figurative art works were created. Comparative examination of car varnish and paints serving as evidence during the accidents;
• Detection, fixation and comparative examination of fuels and lubricationg oils of different types of carburetor and diesel engines;
• Qualitative and quantitative detection of drugs; examinations concerning detection of drugs belonging to opium group, drugs belonging to cannabinoids group, amphetamines, barbiturates, benzazepinic psychotropic substances, poisonous substances, special plant, organic and synthetic toxics, unknown toxic substances;
• Examination, identification and quantity fixation of monatomic, diatomic, triatomic (containing one, two three hydroxyl group) spirits and alcohol containing liquids;
• Assaying of minerals, silicate mortars, metals and alloys including precious metals;
• Detection of other unknown materials’ components (inorganic); eco-expertise realization.
